Last week in Beijing, welcomed by our Regional Managing Partner Owen Chan and Chair Marie-Aimée de Dampierre, and hosted by our Beijing Managing Partner Roy Zou, our APAC partners and lawyers came together with global leadership for our APAC Partners Meeting and APAC Regional Conference to focus on what’s next. The message was clear: APAC sits at the centre of global change - shaped by technology, the energy transition and infrastructure deployment, and the flow of private capital. From 1 July, we become Hogan Lovells Cadwalader, bringing together deeper finance capabilities and a more connected global platform for clients across the region. Our CEO, Miguel Zaldivar, alongside Patrick Quinn, Wes Misson and William Mills, set out that ambition. Our global practice group leads James Doyle, David Bonser, Janice Hogan, Miriam Gundt and Desmond Hogan shared insights into our global and regional priorities, whilst Phoebe A Wilkinson and Patrick Ayad presented on our clients and sector program. We also looked ahead – from the macroeconomic shifts reshaping APAC with Louis-Vincent Gave (Gavekal), to the impact of AI with Zack Kass, and our digital transformation programme, DIGI with lead partner Mark Brennan. Beyond strategy, it is our relationships that make the difference. What stood out was the energy and shared commitment in the room - reflected in how we work together and support our clients across APAC.
