🌟 Investing in Future-Ready Talent through JC CoolScience 🌟 At The Hong Kong Jockey Club, we believe that building a stronger society starts with unlocking the potential of the next generation. We are proud to have co-organised the JC CoolScience Carnival 2026 with the Hong Kong Science Museum—an initiative that reflects our ongoing commitment to strengthening STEM capability across Hong Kong and nurturing future-ready talent. Across two days, over 13,000 students, parents and educators came together to experience science in action through this year’s theme, “Future City Lab.” Developed in collaboration with the UK’s Royal Institution, the programme blended immersive learning with real-world application—bringing science to life through theatre shows, interactive exhibits and dynamic demonstrations. Beyond engagement, the focus is impact. Through inquiry-based learning, students are encouraged not just to understand science, but to apply it—developing critical thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills that are essential for Hong Kong’s future competitiveness. A standout moment was the JC CoolScience Primary Science Explorer Hackathon, where young participants tackled real-world challenges with ingenuity and collaboration—demonstrating the kind of mindset we need to shape tomorrow’s innovation ecosystem. Equally important is the role of educators. We recognised 20 Advanced Teachers for their leadership in driving inquiry-based teaching—amplifying impact by embedding these capabilities sustainably within our education system. Through JC CoolScience, we aim to reach 30,000 students across over 120 primary schools, strengthening scientific literacy and inspiring curiosity at scale. This is part of a broader effort by the Club to go beyond funding—to act as a catalyst for meaningful, system-level change.
