Excited to share that our latest paper is out in Advanced Photonics Research! šŸŽ‰ We built a wavelength-dependent 2D Monte Carlo ray-tracing engine from scratch in Python, combining full Mie scattering theory with stochastic photon propagation. The model tracks every photon — absorption, down-conversion, reabsorption, boundary reflections — and lets you watch where efficiency is actually being lost. The framework is general — it applies to any luminescent down-converter (InP, CdSe, etc.) embedded in a scattering matrix, not just perovskites. šŸ“„ Full paper (open access): https://lnkd.in/e5qH945U Huge thanks to my co-authors Niranjana Raj, Bernard Wenger, and Silvia Motti, and to EPSRC and STFC IAA for funding this work. #QuantumDots #Photonics #Perovskite #DisplayTechnology #MicroLED #MonteCarloSimulation #MaterialsScience #OpenAccess
