Louisiana’s young people are reshaping what’s possible in New Orleans. At this year’s Opportunity in Action Day at the Capitol in Baton Rouge, 72 New Orleans youth leaders met with legislators to advocate for the issues that matter most to them and their communities. Their lived experience makes them powerful advocates who understand the barriers young people face and the systems they must navigate. Through their own research, LOYAL has pinpointed critical transition points where young people may need additional support.
