The expertise is never the challenge. The camera is. 🎥 Earlier this month, a few colleagues from product managers to marketing experts and executive leadership took part in a two-day media training. The initiative was launched by our Social Media Manager and Photo/ Videographer, who regularly works with colleagues in front of the camera and recognized an opportunity: helping more experts feel confident sharing their knowledge on video. 👉 Because we have learned that being an expert and communicating your expertise on camera are two very different things. Many of our colleagues confidently discuss customer challenges, explain complex technologies, and present solutions every day. But as soon as a camera replaces the face-to-face conversation, the situation changes completely. Together with media trainer Frederik von Lonski, we worked on turning knowledge into clear messages, making complex topics easier to understand, and communicating with confidence in front of a camera and microphone. ✔️ For our company, this was a valuable investment. Not only because we improved our communication skills, but because we created a shared foundation for future expert videos, customer success stories, thought leadership content, event coverage, and many other formats that help us share knowledge and perspectives from across our organization. After all, people are rarely interested in products alone.
