STAFF SPOTLIGHT ⭐ We are proud to celebrate four HCPS employees who have been named Florida State Champions in the 2026 Presidential AI Challenge! Randall Middle School’s Stevie Hodgkins, Dr. Lori Bradner, and Lisa McGuin earned the statewide honor for their project “Stronger Minds, Stronger Bodies: AI-Enhanced Fitness for the Next Generation of Education.” Their work reimagines physical education and academics through responsible, student-centered uses of AI, placing students in the role of AI creators while integrating technology, fitness, and critical thinking. Donna Kemp, a district math resource teacher, was also recognized as a state champion for her project “The Response Instruction Optimizer (RRIO),” an AI system that turns classroom data into ready-to-teach lesson plans, helping teachers respond to student needs more quickly and effectively. The Presidential AI Challenge encourages K-12 students and educators to develop AI-powered solutions to real-world challenges, with state winners advancing to regional and national recognition. #artificialintelligence #presidentialchallenge #schooldistrict #hillsboroughcounty
