Digitization & cataloging are complete for the Patenti di Partenze series of the Gran Corte della Valletta—159 fascicles consisting of chronological registers of passengers departing from Malta. The documents record the passengers' names and ages, together with the vessel's name, captain, crew numbers, and destination. Online access to the series is made available by HMML's Malta Study Center in partnership with the National Archives of Malta. This archival series is related to the Registro delli patenti et bollettini of the Magna Curia Castellaniae, which contains Patenti records until 1798. French period records located in the Epoca Gallica fonds, 1798–1800. After 1814, passenger documentation is preserved in the records of the Department of Customs, held at the Head Office in Rabat.
