Milestone Alert 🚀 The next three remote-controlled ship-to-shore cranes at our Container Terminal Altenwerder (CTA) in Hamburg have now reached their full height ✨ Delivered from Ireland in partially assembled sections, each crane went through an impressive installation process. Using a hydraulic lifting system, the approximately 800-tonne upper structure – including the main girder, boom, machinery house and electrical house – was gradually lifted into its final position This milestone brings CTA another step closer to its future as a fully automated container terminal. By 2030, all 14 ship-to-shore cranes will be remotely operated, helping to make container handling safer, more efficient and more reliable. #HHLA #ThePowerofNetworks #Automation
