Today we’re shining a spotlight on David Platzer, our Regulator Response Lead, whose work focuses on what matters most: member outcomes. David started his career in financial advice, working with clients to build strategies around their financial and lifestyle goals. Super has always been a central piece of that puzzle, and it was only a matter of time before he made the switch. He's worked in super ever since, taking on roles spanning fund operations, technology, project management and strategy. This variety has made it easier to answer the ‘What do you do?’ barbecue question to someone he’s just met, who is often intrigued and interested in discussing super. What David loves most about his role is the breadth of work he gets to do every day. It's dynamic, topical, and spans nearly every part of the Fund – whatever our regulators are interested in, so is he! From enhancing member services to bringing HESTA's retirement strategy to life, it's work that can make a real difference to our members.
