🌍 Health Technology Assessment international (HTAi) annual meeting: Annapoorna Prakash's highlights and takeaways 📌Presenting our poster, "Patient-Related Evidence for Health Technology Assessment of Digital Health Technologies: A Literature Review and Stakeholder Survey." This work proposes a comprehensive framework for assessing patient-related aspects of digital health technologies, grounded in the Warwick Patient Experiences Framework. I'm grateful for the guidance and support of Wija Oortwijn and Marcia Tummers throughout this work. 🤝 Co-organizing an EDiHTA workshop on the evaluation of AI-enabled digital health technologies. Hearing perspectives directly from industry representatives and patient stakeholders added a level of nuance that is difficult to capture through the literature alone. 💡Attending a panel session on patient involvement in HTA from an LMIC context that left me reflecting on an important point: a fully institutionalized HTA system is not necessarily a prerequisite for meaningful patient engagement. Civil society organizations can contribute to individual decision-making processes even in the absence of a unified HTA structure. This is particularly relevant for LMICs, where building good patient involvement practices today can help lay the foundation for stronger institutionalization in the future. It was also great to catch up on excellent work from colleagues, including Liza van Mun’s contribution to the SUSTAIN-HTA project on competencies for health technology assessment professionals. #HTA #HealthTechnologyAssessment #DigitalHealth #PatientInvolvement #HTAi2026 #AIinHealth #EDiHTA
