📢 Meet the team 👋 I am Meltem Deger-Akdag, PhD Candidate    🔬 My PhD focusses on the sustainability and affordability of long-term elderly care. We developed a conceptual model to identify factors influencing willingness to pay and applied it in a participatory value evaluation among the Dutch population. Additionally, we examine investments and technologies in long-term care. We focus on their impact on the workforce and on how implementation within organizational contexts shapes workforce allocation and long-term sustainability. 🏆 With my work, I aim to contribute to a more future-proof long-term care system by improving understanding of individuals’ willingness to pay and by promoting the effective use of technology to support sustainability. 💰 A ten million grant for you, what would you do?  I would like to contribute to more inclusive and impactful research in healthcare. Ensuring that the questions we study truly reflect what people experience and need in their daily lives.
