A look back at the opening of the TITLIS Tower, where Pierre, Andreas Fries, Stephan Weber, and Volker Jacob introduced the project to press through tours and presentations. Designed in response to the extreme alpine environment, the Titlis Tower repurposes the original structure of a telecommunications tower for new use. As Pierre describes: “Mount Titlis is renowned for its breathtaking landscape, with sweeping views across the Alps that Switzerland is so well known for. When Herzog & de Meuron were commissioned 2017 to revitalize and transform the mountain station and tower, we immediately focused on a resource-conscious development of the existing infrastructure.
