In the early 1990s, when this photo was taken, our factory grounds still looked different. At that time, plant 1 and plant 2 stood there, along with a few smaller halls and buildings, some of which have since been replaced. There was no hall yet for large machines; they were assembled exclusively outdoors. Steel components were also already being manufactured in Schwanau at that time. When further plants were later added, a public road still ran between them. The bypass eventually made it possible for the plant sections to merge, and in the early 2000s, the now-unified site was fenced off. You got it: we’re celebrating 50 years of hightech in action!
