CEO & Founder at Easelink | Automated EV Charging

Whether you build energy infrastructure, develop deep technologies or run a company with more than a century of tradition - staying competitive means continuously questioning, evolving and embracing new ideas.  Matthias Winkler from Sacher Hotels Group put it well: even the most tradition-bound institutions cannot escape innovation and technology. Technology is transforming every industry and none of us are exempt. That mindset was the common thread throughout the VERBUND Innovation & Portfolio Day. Michael Strugl captured it clearly: real innovation culture means giving people the freedom and resources to do so. That resonates deeply with me because it’s a cultural principle we have at Easelink, too. And it's exactly what the energy transition demands. It's too complex and too important to be solved by any single company or innovation/technology. It requires an ecosystem. Ten years ago, we set out to solve one essential building block: the automated charging interface between electric vehicles and the energy grid. By enabling vehicles to connect automatically, we can unlock the potential of millions of distributed battery resources that already exist - turning electric vehicles into active assets of tomorrow’s energy system. 🔋⚡🚘 A vision that can only become reality through constant innovation and collaboration across industries. 👏 A big thank you to Franz Zöchbauer and the entire VERBUND X #team for creating exactly that kind of space - bringing together people who share this ambition and the openness to build toward it together. 📸 © VERBUND/ Gerald Mayer-Rohrmoser
