Helping athletes like me to thrive with Type 1 Diabetes | Building the world’s best diabetes management app, contextualising life with diabetes at Enhance-d | Facilitating community support at Enhance-d Club (non-profit)
Too often, diabetes care talks about physical activity as if it is simple. "Just be more active" But for people living with diabetes, being active is rarely just about motivation. It is about confidence, data, safety, support, and education, understanding what is actually happening before, during, and after exercise. Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of meeting the diabetes teams at Manchester Royal Children's Hospital to share more about Enhance-d and the pilot project we are delivering with Dexcom UK Together, we are exploring how better visibility, better context, and better support can help people living with diabetes feel more confident being active - and ultimately improve their lives around physical activity. Because the goal should not just be telling people with diabetes to move more. The goal should be giving them the tools, insight, and confidence to do it safely and sustainably. This is exactly why partnerships between clinics, technology, and lived experience matter. I'm excited about what comes next with this one #Diabetes #Type1Diabetes #Dexcom #DigitalHealth #HealthTech #PhysicalActivity #ExerciseIsMedicine #Pediatrics #Innovation
