March marked a major milestone for Alpitronic on our mission to rollout MCS. 🔌 ⚡ 🚛 Our partner, bp pulse (Aral pulse in Germany), inaugurated their brand new truck charging network at one of their sites near Hannover, thereby becoming the first public charging network in Germany to offer MCS plugs. Using Alpitronic's HYC1000 and Truck Dispensers, bp pulse are now able not only to offer MCS plugs, each providing up to 1000kW to the upcoming generation of long-haul electric trucks, but also 600A CCS plugs thereby allowing the current generation of CCS-only trucks to charge at their maximum charging power, whether that be 150kW, 250kW or 400kW. Although the grid power available for these charging sites will start at 2.5MW, the team at bp pulse have created a future-proof concept which will allow the site to scale up over time by increasing either the grid connection, or the number of dispensers, or both, if and when needed.
