From engineering and inspections to testing, coating, and certification, everything was coordinated by IKM Hendrik Veder B.V., ensuring efficiency, transparency, and minimal downtime. The project involved the overhaul and recertification of a 375t SWL spreader bar, including: -Complete lifting and rigging plan, including engineering calculations for the 412.5t proof load test -Full abrasive blasting and application of a new coating system -NDT inspections before and after testing -Complete certification process under the supervision of Lloyd’s The certification program consisted of: -Visual inspection and NDT before testing -A 412.5t proof load test using water bags -Post-test visual inspection and NDT -Final approval and certification The result: a fully certified spreader bar, ready for safe and reliable operation.
