International Day of the Girl – Together for girls’ rights! 💪   On the occasion of the International Day of the Girl on October 11th, we teamed up with Plan International Deutschland e.V. and HSV to host an special day at the Volksparkstadion. Around 50 girls aged 6 to 16, from Plan’s support projects for refugee families in Hamburg as well as other football enthusiasts from the city, came together for a day full of sport, fun, and exchange. Because sport brings people together and promotes equality and inclusion.   Throughout the day, the Volksparkstadion, as well as our HELM AG headquarters, shone bright in pink. A visible symbol for girls’ rights and equal opportunities.   With this #pinkification, we joined Plan International in raising awareness for gender equality and empowerment. The color pink stands for solidarity with girls and young women worldwide. Alongside the Volksparkstadion and HELM’s headquarters, many Hamburg landmarks, including the Planetarium and St. Michael’s Church, also lit up in pink that evening, making the city glow for girls’ rights.
