Review to my visit at Enforce Tac in Nürnberg for Münchner Arbeitskreis Reserveoffiziere (MAKRO e.V.): Most interesting indeed was the panel discussion between MSC CEO Dr. Benedikt Franke, UniBW Professor Dr. Rafaela Kraus and former NATO General Hans-Lothar Domroese on the outcome of the Munich Security Conference 2026: Yes, the German Army is getting stronger, but at the same time international instability is growing, and the public impression in Germany does not care and people think that their life will not be impacted by the fact that the "West" no longer has a majority in the UN. More so, the UN itself is in a very dire state, as it cannot really bring peace to modern conflicts any more. It still has a 5500 people organisation on Mail issues, but nobody on AI and how it influences developments. General Domröse disagrees with the Rubio speech, who "preferred wo work with NATO allies". Instead, NATO article 5 clearly states an obligation, not a choice to defend NATO members. Looking at the military ecosystem and startups in Germany, Prof. Kraus says the procurement office needs to unlearn risk-avid decisionmaking. As a society we can only act fast if we are able accept risks and occasional false decisions. Another wonderful encounter was State Secretary Tobias Gotthardt. Good to see him. Col. Reisner from the Austrian Army also gave an interesting and insightful talk about lessons learned from Ukraine. Seeing friends like Julian Marberger, Klaus Bayer, Felix Klein, Col. Matthias Puschnig, Col. Sven-Thorsten Buchweitz, Alexander Martinez Mateos, Doris Lindner, K. Victor Henckel von Donnersmarck, Matthias Groher, Léocadie Reimers was a wonderful round-up to this year's Enforce Tac.
