Wind energy is a hot topic at HEIDENHAIN right now—for multiple reasons! At our site in Traunreut, Germany, we’re currently commissioning two company-owned wind turbines. They’ll soon start meeting 30% of our power needs at this site. In the process, we’ll also be testing multiple encoders deployed on and within the new wind turbines, including rotary encoders for optimal blades and nacelle rotation, along with strain sensors for monitoring loads on the rotor blades and tower.   The HEIDENHAIN CORPORATE GROUP will present these and further solutions for wind energy this September at WindEnergy in Hamburg. #HEIDENHAIN #WindEnergy #encoder
