Innovation does not have a postcode – our Innovation Challenge proved it 🌍 This year, colleagues across Heidelberg Materials shared 164 submissions from 30 countries. From those, 13 finalist teams earned their spot in our first-ever live pitching session – pitching, answering questions, and getting the wider organisation involved through live voting. The range of topics shows where innovation is happening right now, and where we need to keep pushing: 🌱 lower-carbon products and processes ♻️ circularity and resource efficiency 🧱 new applications and performance improvements ⚡ smarter energy use 🔥 alternative fuels This year’s winning teams were made up of colleagues from Australia, Germany, Ghana, Indonesia, North America, and the UK 🏆. A strong reminder that great ideas can start anywhere, and scale everywhere. Thanks to everyone who got involved – submitting ideas, supporting teams, tuning in, and voting live.
