๐บ๐ธ๐ฎ๐ธ Texas Wesleyan University in Iceland ๐ฎ๐ธ Dr. Reedโs 2nd Iceland Trip 2018 Throwback TikTok Part 6 ๐ฎ๐ธ One of the things I love most about taking students to Iceland is showing them that business is happening everywhere โ๏ธ๐๐ฎ๐ธ On this day, our School of Business Texas Wesleyan University students had the opportunity to visit Air Atlanta Icelandic โ๏ธ๐ฎ๐ธ Founded in 1986, Air Atlanta Icelandic has grown into a global aviation company serving airlines around the world. What began in Iceland has become an international operation supporting passenger and cargo aviation across multiple continents. ๐ฎ๐ธโ๏ธ๐ What made this visit so memorable was not simply learning about airplanes. It was seeing the business behind the airplanes. Air Atlanta welcomed our students into their headquarters and gave us an incredible behind-the-scenes look at their organization. โค๏ธ๐ฎ๐ธ Kรฆrar รพakkir elsku Hannes Hilmarsson ๐ฎ๐ธโ๏ธ๐ We met with company leaders. We sat in conference rooms learning directly from professionals in the industry. We explored the facility from top to bottom. We learned about operations, logistics, planning, safety, and the countless moving parts required to keep a global aviation company running. Walking through the headquarters, students could see firsthand how much coordination is required behind every flight. Every department mattered. Every employee mattered. Every process mattered. One thing that caught my attention was seeing shelves filled with binders and documentation. ๐โ๏ธ For students, it was a reminder that successful organizations are built on systems, procedures, accountability, and attention to detail. Business is not magic. Business is people, planning, processes, and teamwork working together toward a common goal. What I love about visits like this is that students begin connecting classroom concepts to the real world. Leadership. Operations. Logistics. Communication. Strategic planning. Global business. They were not reading about these concepts. They were standing in them. A special thank you to Air Atlanta Icelandic โค๏ธ๐ฎ๐ธโ๏ธ for opening your doors to our Texas Wesleyan University students. Thank you for your hospitality, your generosity, and your willingness to share your knowledge with our group. Experiences like this create learning opportunities that students remember long after they leave the classroom. As we left Air Atlanta that day, our students carried much more than souvenirs. They carried a deeper understanding of how business connects people, industries, and countries around the world. ๐โ๏ธ๐ฎ๐ธ And somehow, after seeing all of that, there was still much more Iceland waiting for us. Happy to get to share this with Soley Reed and Gokcen Ogruk-Maz, PhD, CFA ๐ฎ๐ธโฅ๏ธ โLet your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.โ Matthew 5:16 โ๏ธ #AIandBusinessNetworkingwithHeidaReed #HeidaReed #HeidaReedPhD รfram Hrรบtar! ๐๐ฅ๐
