On World Ocean Day, the ocean started at the banks of the Dordogne River in Libourne, France. Together with arena , Healthy Seas brought 26 participants—including employees, journalists, local officials, and Paralympic swimmer Alex Portal —to remove 50 kg of litter before it could reach the sea. What looked like a clean riverbank revealed hundreds of cigarette butts, plastic fragments, and everyday waste hidden in plain sight. Marking three years of partnership between #HealthySeas and #arena, the initiative highlighted a simple truth: protecting our oceans begins far from the coastline. Every action near water matters. 🌍💙 #WorldOceanDay #arenaWaterInstinct #OceanConservation #MarineLitter #PlasticPollution #GhostNets #Sustainability #Libourne
