We’re excited to have been recognised at the Institute of Public Administration Australia WA (IPAA WA)’s 41st annual W.S. Lonnie Awards, for the second year in a row!   This year our CFO Sash Tomson, was awarded the Chief Financial Officer of the Year award.   This award honours a public sector CFO with significant achievements across several categories, including risk management, reporting, strategy, stakeholder communication, leadership and performance.   Since joining HSS in 2018, Sash has consistently delivered strong financial stewardship and strategic leadership.    In the 2024-25 financial year, Sash achieved an on-budget result for HSS in an increasingly complex environment.      Sash was instrumental in securing pathways for major ICT programs, and applying rigorous financial discipline to manage resources effectively. He identified savings and efficiencies without compromising service delivery, while maintaining momentum on transformation initiatives.     These achievements, combined with external recognition for reporting excellence and his leadership in embedding analytics, demonstrate why Sash is the deserving recipient of CFO of the Year.    Well done to our colleagues across WA Health who were also recognised with awards!
