HSS has been buzzing with several Harmony Week events to celebrate our diverse and vibrant workforce.     Festivities kicked off with the annual Culture Quiz – prompting our HSS brainiacs to brush up on their world trivia knowledge.    Ten teams representing different Business Units across the organisation gathered to compete for the coveted and scrumptious multicultural food hamper and, just as tasty, the bragging rights.     Despite some curveballs and a nail-biting tiebreaker, the “Call Me Maybes”, otherwise known as the Customer Experience Contact Centre team, prevailed.    HSS’ Diversity and Inclusion team and the MRG (Multicultural Reference Group) also organised a morning tea, giving employees the opportunity to share and taste dishes and desserts from around the globe.    Employees set up exhibits showcasing Brazilian culture, Nowruz (Iranian New Year), Saint Patrick’s Day, Eid, Sri Lankan Sinhala and Tamil New Year.    This created a fun and interactive space to learn more about each other’s countries, languages, traditions and customs.    Mitra Maboud, Project Coordinator at CHIIP, presented Persian New year by setting up a Haft Seen table.     Much like putting up a tree for Christmas, the special table is set up every New Year to symbolise hope, renewal, and the start of a fresh year.    “Sharing Nowruz (Persian New Year) and seeing similarities with other cultures showed how much we all have in common. Activities like this truly bring us closer,” said Mitra.    “These events really enrich HSS’ culture. I appreciate how open and supportive it is here, it helps us share our traditions, understand each other better, and feel more connected.” #HSSImpact #HSSCulture #TheHSSDifference #HSSCareers #EveryoneBelongsatHSS #Eid #HarmonyDay2026
