This is called making a protected disclosure. When staff speak up about wrongdoing at work, it helps keep people safe and improves services for everyone. The HSE is committed to: - providing a safe and confidential way for staff to raise concerns - protecting staff from being treated unfairly for speaking up In 2025, there was a 50% increase in protected disclosures compared to 2024. Of all protected disclosures referred for examination in 2025, 31% were made anonymously.
