Today, I was reminded of something many scientists rarely talk about. We dedicate our careers to improving healthcare, developing new technologies, advancing diagnostics, and helping reduce pain and suffering for others. Yet, in the middle of deadlines, experiments, and long hours, we often forget to take care of our own health. As I prepare for my own medical tests today, I am reminded that scientists are not just researchers behind a lab bench. We are human beings, too. We face the same health challenges, worries, and uncertainties as everyone else. To the physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals who care for us when we become patients, thank you. And when you see a scientist in your clinic or hospital, remember that many have spent years working behind the scenes to improve healthcare and make life better for others. This experience is also a reminder to my fellow scientists: our health matters. We cannot continue helping others if we do not take care of ourselves first. Thank you to all healthcare professionals and researchers who dedicate their lives to improving the lives of others. #Science #Healthcare #Research #Innovation #Diagnostics #Scientists #HealthMatters #PatientCare #linkdinhammer
