With the introduction of 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐍𝐨. 𝟖𝟎/𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒/𝐍𝐃-𝐂𝐏, the Vietnamese Government has officially established the 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐃𝐏𝐏𝐀) mechanism, creating new opportunities for businesses to directly access electricity from renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power projects. This marks a significant milestone in Vietnam’s energy transition journey and provides corporate consumers with a practical pathway to achieve their 𝐄𝐒𝐆 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬, reduce carbon emissions, and advance toward 𝐍𝐞𝐭 𝐙𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐠𝐨𝐚𝐥𝐬. Today, global customers and investors are no longer evaluating businesses solely based on product quality, pricing, or delivery performance. Increasingly, they are also assessing the sustainability of operations and the carbon footprint embedded within supply chains. Through the 𝐃𝐏𝐏𝐀 mechanism, businesses can: ✅ Access renewable electricity from large-scale solar and wind power projects. ✅ Reduce 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝟐 emissions and support decarbonization efforts. ✅ Strengthen 𝐄𝐒𝐆 performance and sustainability reporting. ✅ Enhance competitiveness in international markets. ✅ Develop a long-term and resilient energy procurement strategy.
