🇺🇸🇩🇪 On June 26, 1963, U.S. President John F. Kennedy stood before Berlin's City Hall and delivered one of history's most iconic Cold War speeches. 🗣️With the words, "Ich bin ein Berliner," Kennedy expressed solidarity with the people of West Berlin, who lived surrounded by the Berlin Wall. The speech became a powerful symbol of freedom, democracy, and the enduring U.S.–German partnership. More than six decades later, its message still resonates: Freedom is worth defending. 🗽 • • • #GermanAmericanConference #250Years #FriendshipSeries #RethinkingTransatlanticism Sources: American Express | PBS.
