HARTING joins the VDMA Main Board 🤝 The Association of German Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers (Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau, VDMA e.V.) has appointed Philip Harting to its Main Board. Our Chairman of the Board and CEO will be contributing his expertise to shaping the industry’s views. “Mechanical engineering is an important target market for our company,” says Philip Harting. “For me, it is therefore only logical to represent the interests of the industry.” Germany as a business location is undergoing change. As recently as June, the VDMA revised down its growth forecast for the German mechanical engineering sector to zero growth for 2026. At the same time, the association is optimistic about the future. Global demand for innovative machinery and plant remains high 🌍. Issues such as innovation, digitalisation and sustainability will be decisive in determining how competitive Europe remains as a business location in the future.
