​🚀 They say a rocket motor is only as good as the data behind it. After months of design, simulation, and rigorous static fire testing, I am Excited to finally release the full empirical breakdown of the Prarambh 1 solid rocket motor! ​Research Overview 📖 ​Title: "Design, Simulation, and Empirical Validation of Prarambh 1 Solid Rocket Motor" DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.21173319 ​This project has been a significant journey, documenting the complete engineering design cycle, computational modeling, and empirical validation of the Prarambh 1 solid rocket motor. By bridging the gap between theoretical ballistics simulations and real-world physical performance, this report captures the actual telemetry data gathered through a custom-fabricated, microcontroller-driven data acquisition (DAQ) subsystem. 📊 It has been a challenging but rewarding process to move from initial blueprints to the test bed, and I am glad to finally share these findings with the engineering community. ​Core Focus Areas 🎯 🔹​Performance Characterization: Conducting a deep-dive empirical analysis of total energy delivery and burn efficiency through structured static fire testing. ⚡ 🔹​Structural Integrity: Implementing rigorous safety and failure mode protocols to better understand pressure vessel limits and design reliability. 🛡️ 🔹​Forensic Hardware Autopsy: Performing detailed post-test evaluations of material degradation and nozzle wear to bridge the gap between theory and physical reality. 🔍 ​Research Impact 💡 ​My goal for this work was to create a reliable, data-driven benchmark for small-scale propulsion development.
