What's the Maze team like? We have an unusual hiring strategy at Maze, which flies in the face of a lot of the perceived wisdom of today. In simple terms our approach is to hire remotely, focus on the top 1% of talent, and to pay above market in salary and equity. The ideal hire for us is so talented that they could work wherever they want, but chooses to work in early-stage startups because they love the pace, ambiguity, and challenge. The team is a more experienced than your average startup. Many of them combine experience at places like Google, Meta, Amazon, Elastic, Palantir, Github and more, with stints as either top performers in fast-growing startups or as founders of their own companies.
