Many thanks to The Times for the write up on Journey for James - a 400+ mile ultra-endurance triathlon I am tackling this May. The objective is to raise £100k for James' Place Charity, the suicide prevention charity my parents founded in memory of my brother. James' Place provides free, rapid-access, in-person therapy to men in suicidal crisis to help them overcome their distress and find hope for the future. Suicide is the leading cause of death for men under the age of 35 in the UK and suicide rates are at their highest since 1999, so the service we provide has never been more essential.
