2 years ago: I was on a call with a DevOps engineer. We were troubleshooting something together. He had like 15 CLI terminal sessions open. Splitting. Switching. Typing commands like a DJ mixing tracks Me? Sitting there with my IntelliJ. Feeling superior. "Bro how do you survive without an IDE? This looks painful...." Today: My terminal tabs have more tabs than my browser now. 😂 I spend my entire day in the terminal. Claude Code,Ollama, Git, Docker,Scripts,Tmux. I open IDE just to navigate code. That's it !! The IDE went from my workspace to my Google Maps. I don't work there. I just check where I am. Now I feel like CLI is 100X. And IDE? 0.0001X. The guy who felt sorry for the DevOps engineer owes him an apology. And maybe a coffee or beer. ☕ 🍻
