On Thursday 11 June 2026, at the British Renewable Energy Awards, Harmony Energy won the Accelerating the Clean Energy Transition award. We're proud of that. But we also think the timing says something important. This award is not just a reflection of the incredible effort of the Harmony Energy team. It's recognition that battery storage is the essential link in a homegrown energy system that this country needs, and that the case for it has never been stronger. Independent energy analyst Modo Energy published research in May 2026 finding that batteries in Great Britain have saved consumers £188 million since December 2024. Every single month in that period has been net positive for consumers. And it's happening without relying on government subsidies. Harmony's portfolio has been built entirely on private investment. This is part of a much bigger picture: research from CBI (Confederation of British Industry), commissioned by the Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit, finds the UK's net zero economy contributes £105 billion in economic value, supports 1.1 million jobs, and has £455 billion of energy and infrastructure investment in the pipeline. Workers in the sector earn around 11% above the national average. Our operational sites can already power over 1.2 million UK homes for two hours. We've delivered the three largest BESS projects in Europe by MWh at their time of launch, working with Tesla Energy. We were the first organisation in Europe to deploy Tesla 2-hour Megapack systems. The judges at the Renewable Energy Association, recognised the work as a genuine contribution to the UK's energy transition. We think the next few years will only make the case for storage stronger.
