Our latest article "Variational problems with gradient constraints: A priori and a posteriori error identities" has just appeared in American Mathematical Society flagship Journal: Mathematics of Computation (MathComp). https://lnkd.in/efvFJ_Cf This is a joint work with Sören Bartels (Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg (Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg), Alex Kaltenbach (Technische Universität Berlin) and Rohit Khandelwal (South Asian University). The article focuses on algorithmic and analysis aspects of variational problems with gradient constraints. Such problems arise in many applications, think of constraint on stress in elasticity for instance critical to designing digital twins.
