Anko van der Werff to leave SAS for become Air Canada’s new CEO. The markets were somewhat surprised today when the news broke on Anko to leave his CEO position in SAS for Air Canada. Planned start-up in Air Canada is the end of January 2027. Though, rumours & speculations have been circulating the market for some time on Anko and a new job. Anyway, Anko van der Werff has navigated with a steady hand on the «yoke», SAS through Chapter-11 turbulence and «restarted» SAS with a set-up of new owners, as Air France/KLM will become majority owner (60,5%) by end 2026, if all go as planned. Not to forget SAS largest investment in its 80 year history that was announced last week, $10bn investment in up to 40 A330-900neo/300 aircraft. Job well done by Anko van der Werff! I bet on the new SAS CEO will emerge from Air France/KLM organisation, well time will show. https://lnkd.in/egs58j67
