Something I worked on during my time at Evergen is officially out in the world and I am SO excited about it 🎉 Pooled by Poolwerx Corporation Pty Ltd is a smart pool management app for residential pool owners, and it's now backed by funding from ARENA (Australian Renewable Energy Agency) through their Advancing Renewables Program. This one was such a unique project to be part of. I led research, UX and visual design across the project: the consumer app and a fleet management dashboard for Poolwerx's ops team 📱 Two completely different interfaces for two completely different users, which honestly was one of the most interesting design challenges I've tackled. The consumer side had one job: tell a pool owner if their pool is ready for the weekend, fast. The operator side needed to triage across hundreds of pools at once. Same principle, totally different execution. Residential pools account for up to 30% of a home's electricity bill. With 1.6 million pools across Australia, that's a huge opportunity to reduce household energy use at scale ⚡ Independent studies found users could achieve savings of up to 40%.
