We were only taught how to rote-learn. We were taught to memorize word by word without any deeper understanding. While all we needed was hands-on, activity-based learning with better understanding. Our education system needs to shift from rote learning to activity-based learning, and it requires huge changes including, - Teachers training - Grading system - School Infrastructure - Shift in parent's mindset - Administrative adjustments It is high time we shape our young minds to value creativity, critical thinking, soft skills, and true understanding. We must equip them with the practical skills essential for personal and professional life.
