Hamline anthropology students are getting their hands dirty this summer to uncover a unique piece of our community's past. This site in a quiet corner of campus holds the archaeological remains of one of the first family homes built in the Hamline-Midway neighborhood surrounding our university. As a learning experience, an archaeological dig promotes critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving through real-world evidence. It's one of many opportunities for Hamline students to engage in deep, hands-on learning beyond the traditional classroom.
