Last week, I had the opportunity to support the LS Building Products acquisition in East Peoria, IL as part of the inventory team. Experiences like this are a great reminder that the best way to develop future branch leaders is to stay close to the work happening in our locations every day. I’m always looking for opportunities to better understand the business, and this experience gave me a firsthand look at the operational detail and teamwork that drive SRS Distribution Inc.’s growth. Perspective like this helps me continually refine how we build and prepare leaders through the MIT Program. The LS team was fantastic, and it was great getting to meet SRS associates from all over the country - including running into a few MIT alumni now making an impact in the field! Thanks to Rachel Chilton, Greg Jessup, Mike Pitre, and the entire acquisition team for letting me jump in.
