Orlando is buzzing as #LIFE2026 begins🔋 Day one opened with the Science & Technology Summit, bringing together data, science, and AI around one goal: turning insight into outcomes at scale. Leaders from industry, academia, and Halliburton shared a clear perspective. Real progress depends on applying advanced science and AI to real data. It must work reliably in real operating environments where decisions matter. Customer collaboration and open dialogue were central to the Summit. Conversations focused on how technology delivers value when it is grounded in science and designed for operational reality. That message came through clearly from our keynote speakers: • Herlinde Manners-Drew, senior vice president of Oil and Gas Technology at bp, shared how scalable compute and strong data foundations help unlock operational value across complex systems. • Professor Cedric John, head of Data Science at Queen Mary University of London, highlighted how AI strengthens expert judgment. He emphasized consistency and confidence at scale, with humans remaining central to decision-making. • Sriram Srinivasan, senior vice president of Technology at #Halliburton, reinforced the importance of grounding AI in real-world science. Trust and actionable decisions depend on that foundation. A recurring focus throughout the Summit was the data challenge. Preserving meaning, context, and accountability is critical as insights move across teams, workflows, and systems. Breakout sessions reinforced how data, science, and AI are being applied in practice, showing how trusted insights translate into measurable outcomes for customers. Day one set the pace. There is much more ahead this week 👀 Insights to outcomes. Built on science. Fueled by AI.
