The leading Polish business daily newspaper Puls Biznesu interviewed Konrad Księżopolski, Head of CEE Equity Research in HAITONG Bank Warsaw Branch, who shared his thoughts on the latest IPOs in Poland and on COVID-related companies. ”CD Projekt and Dino were the favourite companies that investors from outside of Poland traded over the past two years. Both companies showed good results and an optimistic future. Thanks to Allegro’s IPO, the Polish capital market has another big company with high liquidity, which is the leader of e-commerce in Poland. If we take into account the interest of this offer, we may assume that new funds entered into the Polish market.” Mr. Księżopolski also emphasized that one of the sectors that was able to benefit from the pandemic was telecoms. Telecoms “were underestimated due to the competitive market over the past years but the pandemic and consequent imposed restrictions show that the internet is crucial for keeping economy working through home working, elearning, eGov, ecommerce and home entertainment”. However, Mr. Księżopolski pointed out that investors’ optimism involving most biotechnological companies may be too excessive. #stockexchange #capitalmarkets #ipo #poland #telco #covid #biotechnology #finance
