This all started with a conversation between Stephanie von Veltheim, Jared Grellet, and me during our first brainstorming meeting last year on Hankook and WRC co-marketing. The WRC Promoters shared their phenomenal content on rally car co-driving and asked me: “So HK, do you know anyone athletic? Because it’s a very tough ride.” Without hesitation, I replied: “Yes—Formula E drivers are incredibly athletic and tough!” And that’s how the magic began. Ciaran Morris and Jessica Dalley my amazing Formula E partners—who always find solutions whenever I send one of those “Hey, I have this idea, could you check if it’s feasible?” emails—immediately backed the idea and jumped into action. My brilliant Hankook colleagues—Manfred Sandbichler, Lars Heberer, Christian Büttner, and Filip Pawelka—kept connecting me with the right people and helped shape my rough ideas into a structured masterpiece, alongside the most reliable film team, vidture. It’s never easy to coordinate a film shoot during motorsport season, but Nicoletta Russo made it possible with Adrien Fourmaux, who joined us in London to film on-site with Maximilian Günther and the DS PENSKE Formula E Team. And there are so many more people I haven’t named—FIA – Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, Formula E, FIA World Rally Championship (WRC), DS PENSKE Formula E Team, Hyundai Motorsport GmbH, and beyond. I truly felt the entire industry come together to support this project. Everyone joined hands to race beyond limits. It was an unforgettable experience, and I cannot thank you all enough.
