25 kg of Test Equipment. 231 tons of Transformer. This is what modern transformer testing looks like. In this case, our Winding Analyzer 2293 was used onsite to perform turns ratio and winding resistance measurements on a 500 kV, 400 MVA power transformer weighing 231 tons. What makes this application remarkable is not the size of the transformer. It is the ability of a compact 25 kg instrument to deliver the accuracy and performance required for testing equipment of this scale. Advances in measurement technology continue to make transformer diagnostics more portable, efficient, and practical for field engineers, without compromising accuracy. A great example of how modern test equipment helps simplify challenging measurement tasks in the field while maintaining confidence in the results.
