Knut Haahjem Smie and Motorverksted A/S were founded in 1915 with the production of Haahjem hot bulb engine (semi-diesel). In line with the changed product range, the company changed its name to Haahjem Mek. Verksted AS. HAAHJEM® is today a manufacturer and supplier of equipment for the recycling, construction and mineral industries. Since the 1950s, the company has been a producer of belt conveyors. In 1968, the company became a Norwegian general agent for crushers and screens for the finnish manufacturer Lokomo OY (today Metso Minerals). The company's mission of doing crushing works mobile was intensified in the 1970s, and as early as 1985, HAAHJEM® launched the tracked crusher - the first self-propelled crushing plant mounted on tracked carriage. The mobile crusher was a game changer and over the years has turned an entire industry. The mobile crusher has now been developed into a whole range of machines and are still one of the main products for HAAHJEM® HAAHJEM® is the brand name owned by the company KAHRU AS. The company has design, intellectual property and trademark registered with the products HAAHJEM® CTC MOBILE CRUSHERS and H-CON® belt conveyors, as well as the member club for mobile crusher owners; the Haahjem Hard Rock Club® (Knut the man with the boiler suit)
