Three days in Cairo, Freie Universität Berlin visit to three impressive Universities, #3: On April 2, we were honored to be received by President Prof. Mohamed S. Abdelsadek, Vice President Prof. Mahmoud El Said and several of the university’s deans Cairo University. We had the opportunity to visit the their impressive premises, including the large auditorium and the historical rooms where distinguished guests like Barak Obama or Emmanuel Macron prepapred ahead of their appearances at the iconic Cairo University Dome. Cairo University was founded in 1908 as Egyptian University, it is now one of the largest universities of the world, with far more than 250.000 students and a great global reputation. Signing of our renewed #Memorandum of Understanding between Freie Universität Berlin and Cairo University provides a basis and marks the ongoing interest on both sides in increased collaboration, in a variety of fields and topics, from Archaeology and the Arts to Political Sciences and Law and beyond: We are proud to have the University Leadership, the Deans and the Specialists in these fields as our partners, to learn from each other and to develop future projects.
