Some deals just mean a little bit more! 🍾 When Fasken first started advising Harmony Energy in 2019, the Company was still called Harmony Energy Storage, Tesla was a car company, static batteries were mainly NCM/lithium ion, the 3 Musketeers Peter Kavanagh Alex Thornton and Pete Grogan seemed to spend a huge amount of their time out in the boonies explaining the virtues of battery energy storage systems to sceptical farmers, Max Slade and Paul Mason were the guys from the “other side” on the Long Harbour deal, we only knew James Ritchie by reputation as the boy wonder CEO at Tekmar plc and Gary Camplejohn was everyone’s favourite DNO at Northern Powergrid. On the legal side, Chloe Zelia Gill-Braun was a corporate associate (still at Dentons!), Laura Bradley was an up and coming associate at Fasken London and many of our juniors today were probably not yet born (at least as lawyers). Fast forward 7 years, I had advised Peter not to do almost all of the big deals, we did them all anyway and today he’s CEO of a Pan-European BESS behemoth and part of international energy company Alpiq 🇨🇭! Meanwhile the rest of the 3 Amigos and James are kicking on like the PayPal founders, Max, Paul, Chloe and Gary are now senior management (with Chloe as GC / our boss!) and Laura has brilliantly led the Fasken team on the Alpiq deal! So proud of working with Harmony and all the past and present Faskenites who've been on this journey, including but absolutely not limited to Laura Bradley Chloe Zelia Gill-Braun Lucinda Patrick-Patel Stephen Vincelli Malgorzata Janiec Danuta de Vries-Rychlicka Melody L.
