🚩 Babalar Günü bugün. Tuhaf ama AI'la ilgili kafama yatan ilk şeyi babam söylemişti, hem de ortada AI diye bir şey yokken. Çocukken bir şey sordum mu cevabı hemen vermezdi. Bana döner, gözlerimin içine bakar, "E sen ne diyorsun bakalım?" derdi. Açıkçası o an çok sinir olurdum. Bazen cevabı bulana kadar saatlerim geçerdi. Ama bir kere bulunca da aklımdan hiç çıkmazdı. Geçen gün AI'a bir şey yazarken o sahne aynen gözümün önüne geldi. İnsanların çoğu AI'ı cevap otomatı gibi kullanıyor. Yaz, al, sekmeyi kapat. Bence olay bu değil. Aldığın cevap, sorduğun soru kadar iyi oluyor sadece. Baştan savma sorarsan gayet kendinden emin ama yanlış bir cevap geliyor. Üstelik doğruymuş gibi duruyor. En sinsi kısmı da o zaten. Yani "AI bizi tembelleştiriyor" demiyorum. Bana kalırsa soru sormayı yeniden ciddiye almamız gerekiyor. Babamın yıllar önce zorla yaptırdığı şeyi. Belki bugün sen de denersin: cevabı yazdırmadan önce iki saniye dur, kendi sorunu bir daha oku. Bana bu alışkanlığı kazandıran babamdı. İyi ki hâlâ yanımda, iyi ki hâlâ ara sıra dönüp "E sen ne diyorsun bakalım?" diyor. Bugün de tam ona sarılıp teşekkür etme günü. Soru sormayı öğreten, bizi düşünmeye iten bütün babaların Babalar Günü kutlu olsun 💐 . Funny thing is, the first thing about AI that ever clicked for me, my dad said years before AI was even a thing. When I was a kid and asked him something, he wouldn't just hand me the answer. He'd turn to me, look me right in the eyes, and say "So, what do you think?" Honestly, it drove me nuts at the time. Some questions took me hours to work out. But once I did, it stuck for good. The other day I was typing something into AI and that whole scene came right back. Most people use AI like a vending machine for answers. Type, grab, close the tab. I don't really buy that. The answer you get is only as good as the question you threw at it. Ask something lazy and you get a very confident, very wrong answer that looks completely right. That last part is the sneaky bit. So no, I don't think AI is making us lazy. If anything, we need to take asking questions seriously again. The thing my dad basically forced on me. Maybe give it a shot today: before you let it write the answer, stop for two seconds and read your own question again. It was my dad who gave me that habit. I'm lucky he's still here, still turning to me every now and then with that same "so, what do you think?" Today's the perfect day to give him a hug and thank him for it. Happy Father's Day to every dad who taught us to ask, who made us sit and figure things out for ourselves.
