🚀 This week I graduate from the EXPLORE trainee programme at Munich Re and I start my new role as Junior Underwriter for Cyber Latam. Thanks for trusting me and welcoming in the team Frida Ocampo Lorenz Theilacker ELISA TALERO What a journey it was: 8 departments · 4 cities · 3 countries · 2 continents · 1 Company. 🛫🌎🛬 Looking back to this experience though about what I would like to tell my younger self before I started university: ✨ Your future is not written. You write it. Like Henley said: “I am the master of my fate.” Follow your passion and your dreams. Don’t let comfort or other people’s expectations decide where you belong. ✨ University is only the starting line. It’s the beginning of a long journey of 40 years or more. You are not fixed — you are allowed to change, to try new things, to explore until you find your place. ✨ Surround yourself with the right people. Mentors, colleagues, managers who lift you up, not push you down. People who see potential in you, not limits behind you. ⚡ Yes, some people will say you can’t. That you’re not good enough, or that your past or your background will hold you back. Don’t listen. Most of the time they are speaking out of fear, jealousy, or disappointment with their own story. ⚡ Others will focus only on what you lack. Skills you don’t have, things you need to “fix.” That’s why it’s so important to know yourself: your strengths, your values, your goals, your dreams. Stay close to those who celebrate the best in you. ⚡ Life is not just work, and not just outside of work either. It’s both together. Balance them, and in that balance you’ll find your true self. In the end, the best “personal brand” is nothing more than being authentic. Being yourself. 👉 Know yourself. Believe in your value.
